A Sweetheart of a Lamb

The latest in my Lamb for All Seasons, from Lisa Bongean's free pattern linked here (which I alter for the different seasons and holidays). I can't decide if I like the words on the blanket. Maybe that is just too corny. I think the blanket needs a border, too. I wanted to have this hanging before next weekend, but I may have to mull it over for a while and have it ready next year. : )

Not a lot of Valentiney (that's a word, right?) quilts at my house. I made this one a couple of years ago.

 

I had so much fun quilting this.

Then I made this in the "Simply Charming" Every Other Month SAL from Tara Lynn Darr's book. Was that really 2 years ago?

The photo of my grandkids is several years old, but it is still one of my favorites.

And this little quilt was my second interpretation of Lori's (Humble Quilts blog) Pink Lemonade SAL. I was just learning to machine quilt when I did this, so it is best viewed from a distance!

While making the Valentine lamb above I sewed these blocks together as my leader/enders.

Someday it will get simple quilting and a purple binding.


And this little guy got finished up. When I was sitting in my chair stitching the details I couldn't find the instruction sheet. I was too lazy to get up and look for it, or go to the computer and pull it up again, so I stitched from memory. (The background wool isn't really that blue.)

Some of it I knew was not like the original, but he turned out okay and has been gifted to a good home. This was from Attic Heirlooms January Ornament of the Month pattern.

The only snowmen in my neck of the woods right now are of the woolly variety.
We are having such a warm February that our night time lows are higher than our normal daily highs for this time of the year. We were in the 60s today--unheard of for February in Northern Utah! Right now I'm not complaining, but I may be this summer when there isn't enough snow melting in the mountains to fill our reservoirs and we are suffering a drought!
